December 9th: Meeting 3
We are doing a mural this Winter, one that should be done by late February, more information to come later.
The literary magazine is still in need of people to draw art for it, so please keep that in mind.
As you should know, the Coffee Show's theme is Dreams. We have 51 people who plan on doing this show, which should start around March or April. Please keep in mind that due to the large amount of people, the painting should be no larger than 20" by 16", please do not exceed this. For this show, media that is accepted: painting, drawings (framed in black), and photographs (also framed in black).
Please, please, please try to make these appear as though they are dreams and not simply unrelated.
Ideas should be in by January 6th, drawings preferred.
On Art-week:
Monday: Pet Rock
Tues: Paper on Tables (Leader Sierra)
Wed: Coloring Contest
Thurs: Stickers(?)
Fri: Face Painting (Leader: Alex)
Next meeting, we need to decide on leaders and several volunteers for both lunches.
Final thoughts: $2 fee deadline is soon approaching, next meeting will be when we decide who is doing what for Art Week. If you'd like to be a leader of one of these events, please keep that in mind.

November 4th: Meeting 1
Once again, Art Club kicks off with a bang- a massive turnout of 47 people. I myself see some familiar faces, as well as many new ones. While we do expect at least half of you to stop showing up, we understand. For those of you joining Art Club for the first time, this website might be very helpful as it will keep you both up to date on what you may have missed, or what will is coming up.
Keep in mind that the manager of this website is not perfect, and I strongly recommend coming to as many meetings as possible.
Today's meeting is primarily about what we are going to do throughout the year. We have two things that WILL happen: a Coffee Shop show and Art Awareness Week. As of now, we do not have a theme for the Coffee Shop show, and we are asking YOU to come up with one. This will be decided on November 18th.
The biggest challenge is for a theme that can be easily linked together. Past examples have been the theme of "Coffee" and "Stencil".
Current themes that have been suggested are: "Water" and "Video Games".
In addition, we are looking for ideas for this year's Art Awareness Week: Previous ideas have been: Coloring Contest, Leave paper and crayons on tables for people to color on, "Your face in a Masterpiece", "Eye/I" Pins, and a looping video.
This isn't till March, so there is no pressure to think of an idea just yet.
Other potential ideas for Art Club to do this year which worked in the past: Chalk art, Mini-galleries, a "Chain-Piece" aka gradually evolving painting, Holiday Arts (crafting), portfolio building, building websites to upload art, teaching each other how to draw, transformed an empty room into an Art Gallery, Art from teachers, but we are always open to ideas.
These ideas can be said during the 18th, after voting on the Coffee Show's theme.
We are not meeting on the 11th, as there is no school that day.
